How can may home be worth 1.18 million and only 2 months ago it was 640k?

The pricing in Zillow is almost double the real price of homes.
Are they in bed with the realtors?

With a rising number of foreclosed homes in Hawaii now are owned by banks, and hundreds more are in the process of being deeded over to lenders following foreclosure.

Thousands more homes whose owners are in default on their mortgages, or that are up for auction on the courthouse steps, also could end up owned by the banks.

As a result for Buyers looking to buy, REO properties may be great deals as list prices are typically below what comparable properties are listed at in the same neighborhood.

We finished our home addition in March 2009. Our home went from 2bd/1ba, 720 sq.ft. to 7bd/6.5ba 3723 sq. ft. Thank you.

There are so many good places to eat here on the north shore of Maui... I will provide you with some links.
Paia restaurants and take out.
Haiku restaurants and take out.
Be sure to have an oceanfront dinner at the award winning Mama's Fish House in Kuau, near Paia. Very very good food and service, and the setting is romantic. Warning .... not cheap.

Ocean Pointe - Ewa Beach, HI Active property report

Here is a report of the active single family listings in Ocean Pointe, Hawaii. Hope that this is helpful to those of you that are searching in the Ocean Pointe area of Ewa Beach. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

There are a total of 33 homes for sale that are available as of today (4/29/2009). The prices range from $387k - $650k. The smallest home has a square footage of 1275 and the largest 2357, the smallest home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms where the largest is a 5 bedroom 3.5 bath home. On average you are looking at a 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home with a square footage of 1672 at $297/square foot. For the lot size it ranges from 3851 square feet to 6503 square feet with an average of 4640 square feet.

As you can see from the picture there are big plans for Ocean Pointe and now is a great time to take advantage of the low prices and even lower interest rates. The Ocean Pointe area of the island is brand new and waiting for you to move your family in...

What kind of broker or real estate person

do i need to use ?

i'm visiting honolulu and see lots of auctions at punchbowl downtown

does it take a special t real estate person to bid for me to purchase at the auction for foreclosure or banked owned

condo.

any info would be helpfull

Hana is one of the most unique and beautiful locales in the Pacific. The area boasts tremendous natural beauty. The east end of Maui is the windward side of the island where tropical moisture helps keep the greenery lush and it creates abundant waterfalls. The East flank of the massive dormant volcano Haleakala rises us steeply over town. It is a dramatic back drop. The coastline is young, raw and rugged. Much of the shoreline is jagged rocks and lava. That being said, the few beaches along this side of the island are some of the island's most unique and beautiful. Waianapanapa state park has a spectacular black sand beach. Kaihulu is a red sand beach and Hamoa is a beautiful mix of black and white sand. Situated on the easternmost tip of Maui, the town is secluded accesible only by a windy road that in and of itself is one of Maui's major tourism attractions. The community's seclusion has helped preserve a quiet atmosphere and slow pace of life that is relished by the town's residents.

The slow pace of life is not for everyone. If you are looking for shopping and night life. your best bet is somewhere in South Maui or West Maui. However, if you appreciate taking things slow and are yearning for a taste of old Hawaii, Hana and the other communities of East Maui may be a good choice.
