So we have two dogs and had to put a fence up for them. We hired a fence company and since it was a corner lot with cable box and phone box and sewer drain on our property we had to get the fence approved by the city. Well the gentleman from the city came out and I told him that since I have dogs and a small grandson that I would be building the fence with all of that on the outside of the fence. He said that was great and was approved. I assumed that we were good and put the fence up. Well then the HOA sent me a letter telling me that we have to move the fence because we didn't put it 15 feet fom the street, we put&nbsp;it 10 feet from the street just like the house directly across the street for consistency purposes, so when you look down the street we are both in linewith one another. Well we were called to an HOA meeting and told that we had to move our fence that the gentleman across the street had his fence built by the builder and that the builder messed uo and that house was grandfathered into the rules and regulations. Well when we asked about the other 12 houses that were not the required 15 foot in they told us that they had put their fences up before the HOA.
