Any advice on neighborhoods/schools/commutes in Rockville/Silver Spring?

Hi - looking on these areas in the price range of around $275k-325k or so! Not super familiar with the area so looking for some advice on schools, neighborhoods and commute. We do not have kids and no specific plans, but would like to either plan for future and/or resale if necessary (7-10+ years if at all). One works near 270/495 and the other Dupont Circle.

Hungerford neighborhood, Rockville, MD

Prices in the Hungerford neighborhood went up by $30k-$40k or more (6-8%) during the past month or so according to Zillow. In the meantime, they report falling prices for the greater 20852 ZIP. If it is real, what is the reason for the sudden price increase in Hungerford?

New Rockville - This is not the Rockville of the 60's/70's/80's/or 90's

Does anyone recognize Rockville? All natives know that there were numerous transformations. Montgomery County is certainly spending a lot of money renovating the cities.

There have been so many improvements that it is almost unrecognizable.

Good for property values- which are holding strong.

The older homes are still being fixed up.

Commuting is easy and it is not as expensive as Bethesda

Is this Rockville here to stay?

If you haven't heard there are multiple bids on numersous houses all over the DC metro area.

My guess is that it has something to do with getting tax refunds and warm weather.

What do you think that cause may be?
