What makes me even more upset is that my property taxes are based on what I paid for my house - at the height of the market. If you too paid more for your house than what it is currently worth, I urge you to file a Prop. 8 form (Decline in Value Reassessment application)to ask the county to reassess the property values here in Orangecrest. The deadline to file is coming up soon. Find the form on the Property Tax website for Riverside County.

3 replies Sat, 24 Nov 2007 08:17:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Orangecrest-home-values/12780/ 2007-11-24T08:17:00Z House for rent in Corona, CA http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/House-for-rent-in-Corona-CA/7467/ Brand new home for rent 3,240sq ft. home 5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms, Loft. It will damage our community of North Star Ranch. The design brings trucks in on Galileo and they will idle by the homes in the community of Palomar. The people will look onto dumpsters, trucks, noise, massive traffic and worse. IF you want more info, pls let me know. It is not worth writing if no one reads this.

Pls get in and fight for our community of Murrieta, etc. We CAN protect our communities!!

0 replies Fri, 14 Mar 2008 06:28:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/New-Shopping-Ctr-Winchester-and-La-Alba-Disaster-in-Design/23999/ 2008-03-14T06:28:00Z This area CAN be turned around!! http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/This-area-CAN-be-turned-around/20792/
We dont need to just roll over and watch our area decline. We CAN lessen the decline, and also help turn it around in Murrieta, Temecula and Riverside county!!

We can make sure our yards are clean and attractive, just from our own efforts. We can add plants to our yard by getting plant cuttings from friends. We can keep trash cans put away, and off the street. We can take down Christmas lights, weed our yards, take down illegal signage that clutters our streets.

We can contact code enforcement re violations related to illegal signage, illegal vendors, etc. We can call corporate offices of stores that place bootlegged signs out and clutter the parkways.

We can encourage our city or county government to join in the National Arbor Day Program, which helps plant trees, and beautify our cities, along with improving air quality.

This area looks terrible, and sadly this is un-necessary. We can email city and county officials demanding that they do more to solicit quality industry to our area.

We can shame the County into fixing the lighting, landscaping at the French Valley Airport. It is not only deplorable, but it is dangerous, and there is potential for liability. Once in a while, I go watch the planes, and the airport is an embarrassment to our community, and it refelcts badly on our area when possible investors fly in. What corporate head would want to invest in a tacky looking community?

I love the Zillow site, but it is upsetting to see our market decline. We can roll-over, or we can roll up our sleeves and push fpr changes that will help our real estate values, and also enhance our quality of life.

... Just my 2 cents.

0 replies Wed, 13 Feb 2008 23:48:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/This-area-CAN-be-turned-around/20792/ 2008-02-13T23:48:00Z What is city government doing to draw industry in?? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/What-is-city-government-doing-to-draw-industry-in/20790/
I am very curious to know what the Cities of Murrieta and also Temecula, along with County of Riverside are doing to entice clean-tech to relocate to the Inland Empire. All I have seen is shopping centers with low-paying jobs opened. IMHO, i believe that the cities and counties have not done enough, if anything to draw clean industry. It has been too easy to finance government off the backs of builders. Not only are building starts down, eventually there would be build-out, but also economies historically change as we now see.

When BMW went into So. Carolina, the area gave them 5 years of phenominal benefits to move there, understanding that business start-up costs for expansion or relocation are astronomical. They new that those who got jobs would benefit, as would the tax base. California has done nothing but run business off, and I also see little done in the Inland Empire to stimulate quality employment.

I also see nothing being done to push for the road over to the I-5, which would also make commuting, traffic more advantageous for our area, and thus for real esate. Pls contact your city and county and demand they do something. The decline in this area CAN be turned around if we demand change.

0 replies Wed, 13 Feb 2008 23:32:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/What-is-city-government-doing-to-draw-industry-in/20790/ 2008-02-13T23:32:00Z
