I hate snow. Ok now that it is said I love CA and my dad was there for the car show and pointed it out saying this was a town like ours. I live in Idaho and even in our town we have the bad, ok, and good area. I have a 14y daughter and great wife that we all 3 can not wait untill we have our own palm in the yard. It looks like Great Oak is the best school. We all want the best for our kids but I dont live there so help.

How low will Temecula Go?

Is anyone else worried? I see other professionals letting their homes go, because the homes next door and bank owned already for $150,000 less than what they paid. When will it end? I am worried. Morgan Hill, Valdemosa, Temecula Creek, Crowne Hill Are among the hardest hit.. Is this because they are newer communities? Either way something needs to change or Temecula is going to be the next Murrieta- A ghost town with 7-8 dead lawns per street! Let me know your thoughts/Comments.. Are any areas holding their value?

Local Realtor gives me advice to SHORT SALE?

We are currently in the market to sell our house and move for husbands new career move..... We purchased our home 10 months ago via zillow.com FSBO and got a screaming deal (for the time period). Now realtor says we have to sell for the same price as bank owned in our neighborhood (lower than what zillows estimate even is) which is $130k less than 10 months ago and suggested that we do a short sale. We are considering keeping the home and renting it out (even though it will be at a loss for the first 5+ years).... wondering if anyone can give me advice... should we short sale, sell for higher and come out of pocket for the difference or rent......

Currently in Riverside County... We have a lot of foreclosures. Temecula itself has 227 of the 4,817 active foreclosures on the market for sale. Take a look at the list. I am curious to hear opinions and see what people think the banks might do. ie... start approving more short sales or do more loan modifications.
