Is this scenerio possible and if so at what rate? My husband and I rented our home to a family who decided to live there without paying rent. They finally left my home (only 2 yrs old) in ruins. They destroyed it! This happened in 2007 but it didn't actually foreclose until 2009. My husband lost his job in 2010. With just one income we had no choice but to file Bankruptcy. To make matters worse my mother passed away from cancer in November 2010.
