Then you should reach out to reputable loan officers, through this site or from referrals, and get some comparisons.

Often the rate that is quoted when preapproved is no longer valid, so you'll want to circle back with your original lender - assuming you have confidence in them - and get an update. Compare oranges to oranges (prefer over apples).

Let me know through this site if I can assist.

Cheers

Mike

0 replies Wed, 11 Mar 2015 16:13:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/What-is-the-best-way-to-go-about-shopping-for-mortgage-rates/578443/ 2015-03-11T16:13:00Z Lender rates quoted with taxes and insurance vs advertised rates that are quoted without. http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Lender-rates-quoted-with-taxes-and-insurance-vs-advertised-rates-that-are-quoted-without/193341/ Dave I'm lost with your math. What are you adding to the right? Every homeowner should add taxes and insurance to their P&I payment for budgeting reasons. ZILL can't know insurance, but could get taxes if the consumer were to plug in their address... As far as the PHONE OFFICERS @ Bowling Alley Mortgage with I/O payments glimmering... if the consumer still chooses to believe that nonsense.. they will repeat what we are trudging through today. Keep rockin'.

0 replies Wed, 28 Jan 2009 17:25:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Lender-rates-quoted-with-taxes-and-insurance-vs-advertised-rates-that-are-quoted-without/193341/ 2009-01-28T17:25:00Z Are any lenders offering 7/1 ARMs these days for well qualified borrowers? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Are-any-lenders-offering-7-1-ARMs-these-days-for-well-qualified-borrowers/532557/ To find the best rate, click on the Mortgage Rates tab above and enter your loan scenario. You'll see a list of lenders ranked by interest rate as well as see their ratings and read reviews from past clients.

0 replies Mon, 17 Mar 2014 22:45:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Are-any-lenders-offering-7-1-ARMs-these-days-for-well-qualified-borrowers/532557/ 2014-03-17T22:45:00Z Will the S&P downgrade effect mortgage rates? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Will-the-S-P-downgrade-effect-mortgage-rates/410800/ Interestingly in the very short term, the downgrades have not seemed to put any pressure on mortgage rates...yet. The 10-year treasury note has fallen to a record low. This is good for mortgage rates.
But in the mid to long term it is very likely that the downgrade will affect the 10 year treasury notes and that the interest paid will increase to account for the added risk which is perceived from the lower credit rating.
