No, they don't have their own magic wands, they just know how to implement design principles in interior design and organize what's already there.

Expand your bedroom
It sounds simple, but the results are dramatic. Whitmore said you can apply the same principles to any room in the house that feels cluttered or small. "Lots of bedrooms are small and have few windows," she pointed out. To resolve this, she suggested "painting walls a light color and bringing in a neutral rug." She also said, "Beds are the largest piece in the room so linens shouldn't stand out too much."

Open up your bathroom
Bathrooms sometimes have similar problems with chunky cupboards, dark shower curtains and towels, or dull tile. Choosing updated hardware can draw the eye away from less attractive design features. Laura McCaffrey, another home stager in the Washington area, said one option homeowners have is to refinish old tile and tub surfaces, a renovation project that costs about $1,900 per bathroom.

Cut your rugs to size
If rugs are your style, they can add new life and color to a space, but only if they fit it correctly. Instead of buying a standard size and trying to make the room work with it, make the rug work with your room. Kelley Proxmire, a Bethesda interior designer, suggested buying a wool remnant which then can be cut to fit your room. She said she "likes to have carpet sized to fit around fireplace hearths or bay windows. This makes your room look bigger or neater."

Interior Decorating and Remodeling News Brought to You by BaseBoardRadiatorCover.com
Source: washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/home/secrets-of-home-stagers-six-easy-fixes-to-make-you-like-your-house-better/2014/08/26/78de2b24-169e-11e4-9349-84d4a85be981_story.html

1 reply Wed, 03 Sep 2014 09:57:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/How-to-be-your-own-home-stager/557729/ 2014-09-03T09:57:00Z How to look up recent sale http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/How-to-look-up-recent-sale/552894/ 2 replies Sun, 03 Aug 2014 21:42:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/How-to-look-up-recent-sale/552894/ 2014-08-03T21:42:00Z How can I fix a zip code? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/How-can-I-fix-a-zip-code/543248/
The property is 2017 W 450 S Cir, St George, UT
The Zillow page shows a zip code of 84095.
http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2017-W-450-S-Cir-St-George-UT-84095/89426729_zpid/

But it should be 84770.

4 replies Fri, 30 May 2014 03:43:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/How-can-I-fix-a-zip-code/543248/ 2014-05-30T03:43:00Z What viable Information do I need to know about a rent to own option? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/What-viable-Information-do-I-need-to-know-about-a-rent-to-own-option/537387/ I don't have money saved up and it would take me 10 years on my small income to save up barely 15-20% of a loan amount for a down payment and so I'm trying to see what program are out there that would help me work towards buying a home for myself.
