I'm pretty sure it was a really nice house back then. But somewhere along the line (late 80's early 90's) some rather shoddy updating was done (sunroom addition, new kitchen cabinets, all new tile in bathrooms and foyer). I'd like to completely redo the kitchen, master bath, half bath, laundry room and sunroom. The house needs a new driveway and new roof soon as well. We owe about 35K more than what we'd get if we'd try selling it right now. I'd love to just move, but we'd get totally hosed. I just don't know if it's worth putting money into it. I'd say it's worth $210-215 right now. We could put 100K into right now and it'd probably only be worth $275. But if we did put the money into it, we'd probably stay here for a least a decade or more. We'd have to take out a loan to do the improvements. I hate the way the house is right now. Buying it was the worse financial decision of my life.

30 replies Mon, 12 Dec 2011 13:37:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Should-we-do-improvements-to-our-house-even-though-it%27s-worth-about-35K-less-than-we-paid-for-it/425526/ 2011-12-12T13:37:00Z Mobile Homes And Solar Panels -- Or Mobile Home Parks And Solar Panel Arrays http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Mobile-Homes-And-Solar-Panels-Or-Mobile-Home-Parks-And-Solar-Panel-Arrays/408717/ I am wondering if there are any mobile homes that feature a solar panel array? If yes, is it on top of the mobile, or on the land nearby? Are there any mobile home parks that have installed solar panels for themselves as a business or their tenant / clients as a way of saving money or providing alternative energy?

3 replies Sun, 24 Jul 2011 02:54:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Mobile-Homes-And-Solar-Panels-Or-Mobile-Home-Parks-And-Solar-Panel-Arrays/408717/ 2011-07-24T02:54:00Z Mistake in our ZESTIMATE???
