We moved to Tampa, Florida about couple of years ago and contracted with ServiceMagic to find leads. We tried to limit our monthly expenses with Service Magic to $150/month for connections to homeowners. In two months, they charged us $800 for the same leads they provided at least three other contractors. We generated a whopping $250 from their leads. NO THANKS.

If you are a licensed, and insured GENERAL CONTRACTOR, who has experience with the 203k process.. I am looking for you to give me a free estimate. Â

Estimated closing date is in mid August. Â I am redoing the bath, kitchen and replacing the garage door. Â the bathroom is standard size, the kitchen is not huge.Â

Depending on your quotes I may redo floors as well. Â

Please contact me ASAP because I would like to have the estimate done before the end of this week. Â Thank you

I've heard that roofing contractors charge over $35,000 for a Mediterranean style roof. Back on Long Island, where I live full time, a new architectural shingle roof would only cost $6000 for a similar size ranch home. I will be buying a second home that needs a new roof. What should I do?

In attorney review to purchase a foreclosed home; during review property developed some severe mold problems. Seller (bank) will not fix and I'm too far in the process to walk away...any ideas? Also requesting prof mold remediators estimates

Who Should Be Listed In the Advice Section Under Home Improvement?

1) Why is it that Zillow allows out of State people/entities and others like Realtors, Mortgage Brokers and Home Inspectors (to name a few) to purport themselves as qualified individuals and/or entities in this field?

2) Who qualifies them, as they are NOT listed as such on the State website (sunbiz)? Where do they get these certifications?

3) Maybe the True Home Improvers should list themselves as Realtors; can I get someone's MLS username/password?

Plentiful mold in house of less than 1,000 s/f (basement, bedroom and attic crawlspace) - any "best guesstimates" for cost of remediation before I call out for actual estimates?

It's a foreclosure that needs work, but could be well worth the price if the remediation is within reason.

I can't seem to find this service anywhere in my large metro area (Houston - which is LARGE).

I want to hire someone who will design a landscape for my front and back yards (2/5 acre), including drawings and plants.

I want to do the work over time - some myself, and any or all (potentially) contracted to the designer's company or any other company of my choice. I just want options!!

It's a piece of cakefor the right designer! The house has a tiny footprint. The only challenges are a shade, shade, shade in front with old live oaks, and blazing sun in back, perfect for a pool. A blank slate for a new creation!
