But when I said this to my friends few of the told me that refinancing isn't a good option. According to them, it will negatively impact my credit and also they said that the procedures are very lengthy and that I will have to start over my loan to refinance. But then I read a blog about mortgage refinancing from Northwood Mortgage which states that these are not true.
Can someone here here help me get a correct picture on refinancing. Not the myths, the original facts.

2 replies Thu, 30 Jul 2015 05:23:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Should-I-refinance/597857/ 2015-07-30T05:23:00Z Should we wait to complete our bathroom remodel before refinancing our home? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Should-we-wait-to-complete-our-bathroom-remodel-before-refinancing-our-home/365021/ We are in the process of completing a bathroom remodel and are about 1/3 of the way done. Should we wait for the bathroom to be complete 100% before we refinance our home?

13 replies Fri, 03 Sep 2010 15:24:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Should-we-wait-to-complete-our-bathroom-remodel-before-refinancing-our-home/365021/ 2010-09-03T15:24:00Z Can I refinance from FHA loan to a 203k streamline? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Can-I-refinance-from-FHA-loan-to-a-203k-streamline/597817/ Hi, we bought our house a year ago with a regular FHA and got it at a high interest rate. We've been talking to a few lenders for a regular FHA streamline to take advantage of a lower interest rate MIP rate. My questions is if we would be able to refinance with a 203k streamline to do minor upgrades and still take advantage of lower rates. Any and all advice is much appreciated. Our interest rate is 4.125% bwcaue at the time out scores were roughly 640( auo lender marked us as late even though we weren't and has since been removed from our reports) and now our scores are 675. My question is AM I eligible to refinance or is it so soon? And if I can woyld my rate go down enough to make it worthwhile. Reason we went with higher rate was because we were time crunched due to our old homes lease ending within 3 days of closing.
