Our credit is so terrible we can't even qualify for a small loan. Our bank was wonderful and worked with us while he was on Unemployment and we recently got approved for a loan modification. We can not wait to sell our home and buy something bigger with more space for our family but aren't sure when we might be able to qualify for a mortgage again? Any ideas or information would be so helpful. I submitted all my paperwork for a modification to EMC Mortgage last March, had to resubmit it again (it was obsolete by this point) in July and still nothing has happened. Now it is almost October and they are asking for it again. I can't get them to give me any information regarding where it stands nor have they called me once regarding its status. I thought going into this the Obama loan modification plan was suppose to be a fast process meant to keep people in thier homes and out of foreclosure? At this point I believe EMC is purposefully delaying and stonewalling people into foreclosure for the monthly late fees. It obviously is not benefiting them to expedite the modification process. I've tried leaving messages with supervisors, but still no reply.
