I am in the down town San Diego convention business and find it funny that every convention this year has experienced a minimum of 30% fall off in attendence yet the National Association of Realtors convention which is this week has reached it's full expected attendance numbers... Looks like while we are all suffering the realtors are able to flip their own bill and travel to SD. I guess the 8k is workign for someone! Glad I can help pay for it.

Short Sale

I fell in love with a short sale property that was originally price at $850,000 back in Aug 2008 and has dropped 8 times to the current range of $525,000 to $575,000. There was a pending sale back a month or 2, but their financing fell thru.

I had my agent submit an offer of $580,000, all cash, but it must close in 30 days because I'm in escrow as well. Apparently the owner is acting FSBO on the short sale.

Am I wasting my time?
