I want to find out if they have any more information on the home. It's winterized and has no power. Bank is selling it as-is. It is priced to move (seriously). I found the previous owners name in the town docs... So what do you think? They left it in good cosmetic condition...is it ok to see if they know anything else?

I am recently divorced and need the proceeds from the sale to purchase another home. My current home is in my name and my ex's. I have a Good credit rating but the only significant assets in my name are all retirement funds.

Buying bank-owned...How long does it take...and why?

We just made an offer on a bank-owned property.Â We offered 5% lower then asking...and this property is pretty low on the food chain.Â I was told it could take weeks before we hear anything (which is going to be torture). Will it really take that long? If so...what are they doing back there in bankland? If it matters it's a connecticut home owned by WaMu.Â

What does it mean when Realtor.com listings have been "refreshed"?

This seems like a totally uselessÂ pieceÂ of information. I have been watching a listing for quite awhile and nothing has ever changed after it says the listing has been "refreshed".
