We have some plans to choose from, it's a subdivision that just started so some lots are in great location by the pool and park. One floor plan is right behind the community amenities but the floor plan is kinda odd. Right when you walk into the front door, in the foyer on one side is a door to a bedroom, then on the other side there is a hall with the other two bedrooms with the bathroom between them. Then you walk to the back where the kitchen and living room are. The other floor plan that we are looking at, the lot is a couple of streets away from the community amenities but it's a much better lay out. With a foyer that goes into the living room and on one side of the living room there is a hall with three bedrooms and the bathroom and on the other side of th living room is a hall to the master bedroom. My question is even if the house has an odd lay out, would this house be better for resell purposes because it is right behind the park and pool? Or do you think people will be put off because of the lay out?<br \><br \>6 replies Thu, 05 Feb 2015 20:56:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Picking-the-right-floor-plan/574674/ 2015-02-05T20:56:00Z Picking the right floor plan. http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Picking-the-right-floor-plan/574674/ My family and I are buying a new build home. My family is looking to buy a home in the Denham Springs, LA or Prairieville, LA area. We aren't sure if we want to go with a new build or a resell home. I have two kids, so I am not sure if I want to be in a newer community or established one. However we want to look at the inside of some resell homes just so we can see what we can get for our money but we can't until we are pre-approved, but we aren't looking to move until the end of May. So our lender has suggested that we get pre-approved now, just so we can look at homes, then again when it's time to fill out the formal application. My question is, is that how it is done? Our lender also said that running a credit check twice in just a few months will "unlikely" change the rate or hurt my credit. Is this true? Do you think we should decide first if we want new or resell before we run a credit check just so we won't have two hard inquiry on my credit?<br \><br \>3 replies Wed, 21 Jan 2015 06:06:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Running-two-credit-check-a-few-months-apart/572908/ 2015-01-21T06:06:00Z Buying a home with history of a termite issue http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Buying-a-home-with-history-of-a-termite-issue/572976/ The home I am considering to purchase had a termite issue 2 yrs ago and was treated and all repairs made.
