How do you get a real estate agent to return phone calls? I have called 3 agents in 3 weeks.

I called Assist-to-Sell, Pinnacle and Vanguard Realty to inquire about houses for sale. I have not been contacted. I thought I would at least get a return call from someone. Do I need an agent to contact these people for me?
