Name Change: Before or After House Purchase?

I just recently got married, and we're starting our house hunting very soon. (We have put in 2 applications for preapproval quotes, and we hope to start actually looking within a week or so.) My question is, should I go ahead and complete the paperwork with the SS office, DPS, etc to get my name changed, or should I wait until after we've made the purchase? I am worried that there will be issues with having a new name on all my paperwork and documents, but still having my maiden name on credit reports, that kinda thing. I'm especially worried about that, because we really can't afford to have to wait around if a problem comes up with the 2 different names. We are really trying to make the Nov. 30 cutoff date.
Please let me know if you have had this come up or if you have any insight. Thanks!

We found a great deal on a forclosed home on Zillow, but when we went to look, it turned out that the house was purchased in a "Pre-foreclosed" position a month prior. What is the difference and how do we find pre-forclosed homes in a certain area? Thanks.

my ex is ruining my credit score

my ex wanted the house and agreed to take over payments in our divorce agreement but has made several late and very late pmts,submitted paperwork to mortage co.to show she has been responsible for this and asked to have my name removed,even with my ex stating in notorized letter that payments are not mine they would only take me off if she could re-finance in her own name but she has ruined her own credit.Why do i keep getting refused a mortage when i show and explain its not my bill but my name is still on the mortage,have been told if that wasn't on there i would qualifiy.Who could work with me to get qualified?my income to debt ratio is fine.I have the financial means but not the credit score

I am looking at a home that is currently in foreclosure with a bank. The builder went under and I do not know how much the home is truly valued at. I see the tax roll with the county but want to see how much I should pay for this home. I think its a great deal but need a second or third opinion.

can seller's agent negotiate another offer while the hosue is in Active Option period?

After the home inspection, the cost of repair is about 2,300. But the seller refuses to repair or give some allowance. The seller's agent told me agent that there is other offer is higher than mine, so the seller hopes I terminate the contract. Can the seller's agent negotiate another offer while the hosue is in Active Option period?
