Why is zillow about 10 to 11 months behind in putting up new home sales on there web site?

Moving from CA to AZ. Didn't know good from bad areas of town when we moved here - only had one day to find a place. We ended up in Van Nuys, where stolen shopping carts line the street. I just want to know that I'm moving to an upscale area, with nice, clean shops. Neighbors who won't steal your mail, being able to walk the streets at night w/o fearing for my personal safety, and majority population
English speaking - all bonuses.

Just looking for foreclosed or short sale homes which would allow horse priveleges of 1-2 horses with stalls existing. Is there anyway to search other than using a realtor?

Hello All,

I am stuck in a home we purchased as a first time buyer in 2005, and have found that it's lost about 100K in value... putting us about 80K underwater.

What I'm looking for is a way to get out of this house and buy another that we can be happy with (newer, better condition, pool, etc..).

I have over 700 score and make a 80-100K /year, and my gf is working part time and going to college.

I would love to find a way to do this without messing up my credit or digging a hole with too much risk.

Can anyone help? Is there a way? I would love to be able to get into another home... and if there's someone who can help, please let me know. I would pay for assistance.

I want to buy a home that has an older addition that never got a permit. What are my options?

This home has an addition that there is no permit through the city for. How difficult is it to obtain a permit or should I walk away from the home. I can assure you that there are some code violations using today's standards. I heard that the city can "grandfather" certain additions at times, but not sure what this really means.

Home owned by the owner and no mortgage on it, does it have to be a short sale? What are the options

I saw this house that is abandoned and contacted the owner. He is willing to sell it but he says his Realtor advised him to short-sale it. There is no mortgage on the home and he is the owner. Does it have to be a short sale?? I would like to close, if all goes as planned, before Dec 1st for the tax credit and short sales take way too long. What are other options??

Hi,
I found a home that the owner no longer lives in and the house is in very bad shape. He has not been living in it for about 6 months and has a few city code violations and has been fined from the CIty and from the HOA. I am a first time home buyer and have a meeting with him next week to take a look at the house. He tells me that he will try to short sale it. What do you recommend and how can I know what the current market value of the home is?

if Im buying a house, is there any negative to the appraisal coming in lower than asking price?

it seems like Im getting quite the deal here- asking was 96k, appraisal came in today at 90k. The addendum is being sent today

all I see this as is a 6k savings to me. What, if anything, am I missing?
