On Zillow the property history states: "Historical transaction data is not available for this home."
On many of these homes however, the property taxes jumped up by 16% in 2008/2009. I assume that the jump took place because of a "sale" because the accessed value of the property is roughly the same (it is increasing by 2% each year). Is this correct to assume that a sale did occur in 2008/2009? How does one get the sales history of a home (without contacting a REA as I feel it is not kosher to contact an REA until I am ready to buy a particular home and I do not want to feel obligated to any particular agent).

5 replies Wed, 24 Aug 2011 18:36:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Historical-transaction-data-is-not-available-for-this-home/412989/ 2011-08-24T18:36:00Z Home equity advice http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Home-equity-advice/485877/ My family just sold a home in the Cupertino/San Jose area for an astronomical sum. Basically the house was found by me and somehow the transaction is over. I remember she did very little towards this closing. But after closing, she dropped us all the sudden without even answering her e-mail and return to our call. We felt that it is very odd and it is just that she was there to take the commision. Now thinking back, we think that her action was just pressing us to close it sooner.

Basically we needed some kind of help to get contractors to improve etc.. When we hired her, she promised all those things and after closing, it was like her acting. She used to say that she is an A class realtor something like that.

My question is, is the buyer agent supposed to be like this?
That too after closing, she will send an e-mail that the key is under mat?
and stop answering any e-mail or phone call?
