I am looking for an agent/broker to show me 2 family homes - 11418

Hello,

My wife and I are looking for an agent or broker to show us 2 family homes in the 11418 area, mainly the area called "brooklyn manor" in queens. It is on the southern section of Forest park in queens. I drive by the neighborhood quite often and I like the properties. I am having a hard time getting the agents to call us back!! Can someone be recommended?

Can I search by what the house is made of?Like brick house Vs wood house or metal cover? Please.

I want to buy only brick houses but when I do a search now, I need to go through all the wood and metal frame house. Please make it so that I would only see brick house. Thank you very much and I believe if your site could do this and a lot of people will flock to you. Thank you very much for what you have done and I wish you would just do a little bit more for common folks like me. Thank you.

I liked an house in Jamaica, on 89th ave. Currently I live in Long Island, never lived in the city. How can I find out how safe is the neighborhood, where can I find the crime report for that area? Please advise.

How do i know if an appraisel is accurate and the appraiser was honest?

I bought a condo in June and the bank i used gave me the appraisel report that stated the property was the EXACT amount of the purchase price. I find this highly odd. Could it be that since the bank wants me to take out the loan they asked the appraiser to put the same exact amount rather then a lower amount so that we would g ahead with the purchase and take out the loan?

Senators Christopher Dodd, and Johnny Isakson have introduced legislation to extend the credit , increase it to as much as $15,000 and make it available to all home buyers, not just first-timers. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid backs an extention of the credit.

I have been living in my apt for over 17yrs which has turned into a condo I was offered $711k to buy. It's a 1st fl duplex (going downwards and main street facing) containing 1br and full bath on main floor and cellar with 2 'rooms' (not bedrooms) and .5 bthrm (one of the rooms are concrete and rest of apt is hardwood (not the best condition). 1580sq ft. It's in a 12 unit walk up with currently no laundary nor central air. I believe this is way overpriced - what is your general opinion?

Confused about finding a buyer's agent.

I'm looking to buy now (3 family - 11211/11222/11101/11106/11385). However, whenever I email/call a real estate agency I feel like they just check their inventory and that's the end of it. For instance, i contacted Prudential Elliman almost a month ago, speaking with the agent and emailing her all of my details and real estate needs. Haven't heard a peep from her since. I thought an agent would search listings, tell me about new hits, keep in touch with me, etc. What am I doing wrong? I'm finding more hits (even though they're not suitable) myself by searching online. I have no clue how to go through the buying process so how will I be able to do so without a buyer's agent? I'm also not going to find something and then bring it to an agent to represent me - not going to give them a commission for not having done anything. Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks.

westerleigh vs eltingville

My fiance and I are first time home buyers and are interested in staten island. We have no real knowledge of the island, westerleigh and eltingville were both recommended by co workers as good working class neighborhoods with low crime rates and decent schools. we both commute to midtown Mon thru Fri, just wondering if anyone can give some insight as to which neighborhood would be better for us.
