I signed a contract on a house which has been inspected and found out elevated level of radon gas. I am not feeling comfortable and want to back out and cancelled agreement because of serious health hazarads

I wonder if there is a "rule of thumb" concerning cash sales and how much I should offer for a home that is $170,000.00. I certainly appreciate all advice on this matter.

How do tax assessments relate to value of a home?

I am looking at purchasing a duplex and there are really no comps to compare it to in the area. The tax assessment in significantly lower than the price of the duplex. I am hearing contradictory information about how these two things relate. Houses in the rea are selling for close to the tax assessments.

Having good credit scores does not mean you can get a loan?

My husband is in the 700's mine is in the upper 600's We are still have trouble because our debt is high . We passed a first underwriters, but not the second one. Good credit score or not you will have problems And every time someone looks at your credit scores you take a big hit, even though you pay a couple of bill off.

I keep hearing about the 7 day waiting period From underwriters to closing that came out July 2009.

Trying to buy a house and this is the forth time our closing has be delayed. It started with the mortgage company not doing our finances right. We have good credit just . We just have alot of credit cards. But She forgot to add in the child support. So that put us up there. So we paid off some bills. we work with her to make sure we got everything just right.so we had to wait for everything to clear the credit. that extended the date out even farther. set a new date again. #3 Passed first review, went into a second, never heard any thing back. two days before got a call saying there changing company's and someone else is doing the loan, So now we are just hanging again. And we where told it would still take an extra 7 days from the date of the disclosure. Something does not sound right

Bad mortgage company invested to deep

What happens is the mortgage company is giving you the run around, day everything ok and the next they call you 8 in the evening and things are delayed again. We are so close to the end and don't have the time or money to start over again
