Frequently, I set up automated email searches through the MLS from clients to provide recent sales data of a specific neighborhood. The Twin Cities MLS is typically updated within three days of close, so the info is fairly timely. For the most accurate information you would need to contact a realtor in the area you are looking to buy a sell a home. Only they have the detailed information as to what a home was listed for and any changes while it was listed. They also will have information on closed sales which is what an appraiser on lender will evaluate when determining what the home is worth.
