I think the days of open discussin have been replaced.

I've had a few days off and have spent alot of time tryin to get the feel for this new format but so far not so good

I think things will get better, but Zillow is too busy to attend to everything on their plate.

1) Once the ability to use a "most recent posting" sort order is implemented (see Drew's response to DebtsNMesses in "Suggestions"), the forums will regain much of the "chatty" flavor they had before.

2) With the high-pri fixes (e.g., most-recent-sort, questions tied to page content, etc.) on their plates, I believe Zillow has made a concious decision to put "spam patrol" on the back burner until the other format/site issues are corrected. This means that there will be more-than-normal and worse-than-normal spam, for a while.

I'm a developer and think Zillow will get this all back together in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, they just rolled this out without dotting all the 'i's and it's come back to bite them in ways they never anticipated.

Spam is business. I am sorry to see it, but I know Zillow is fighting for survival and that means that you have to make distasteful choices just to live. I would like to see the tags come back so that you know who and agent, lender or Zillow mod is. I think that at least that way folks could sort it out better. Secretly, I want a superstar tag for those people who are more than an agent, regular poster or lender. A tag for people who try to help others, do not violate the rules (including spam) and are committed to the highest and best use of this forum. They should be people who have "aged" a bit and are established as valuable contributing members like Elv!s, mina, bette etc. Folks you can count on to tell the truth politely.

I hate the spam. I really do. But I refuse to flag a single bit until and unless they return to the original format. This is their mess. I have no loyalty to the new Zillow.

Yes Doobie, and I have flagged every single spammer. I even started a thread on Friday about how Zillow does not tolerate spamming or self promotion, instead of them making a sticky out of it, it's on page 2 or 3 now.

It's becoming like a used car lot in this place. I'm really disappointed.

I have personally emailed David G about it, no response. I know several of my fellow LO's have also contacted him, nothing.

I'm not as offended, as I am heartbroken over what has taken place here at Zillow....This site was a shining example of an open and user- freindly community. There is just not one change I find useful...It's a serious pity.
