The other 7 were from a listing agent that has a big contract and is processing many many REOs. But I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that she is doing a bad job just yet. Many markets are flooded with REO / Short sale listings, some of which never respond to anything. Even the agents don't return our calls to give us any information. When the deadline came, there was no counter offer or rejection presented to us in writing. She just told us that we needed to make a full offer now because they have another offer? I thought I needed to see that in writing that the offer was rejected due to another party stepping in?"<br/><br/>The fact that your offer lapsed without acceptance means that it was rejected and became dead.&nbsp; The owners did not need to counter or reject it in writing.&nbsp; The sellers could have received an offer from another buyer while they were reviewing yours and could have chosen to work with the other buyer and allow your offer to lapse.
