* Everyone stop working for two months, the wages gonna up because of the employers need the workers.
* Everyone stop eating for two months, the food's prices gonna down because of the excess the supply of foods.
* Everyone stop drink water for two months, since there is shortage of the water in California, and you can make money by selling your water.
* Everyone stop driving for two months, the exercise is good for your health.
* Every 9th month pregnant women stop giving birth for two months, the hospitals will reduce the fee, due to empty beds and the nurses don't know what to do, The men can do the same.

Those are the stupid ideas.

How would you feel about leaving Orlando? If you DID lose your job, would you like to have the freedom of moving? How "secure" is your job? If you do buy another home, and a company hires you in another city/state, in the "good old days" they paid for moving expenses and would even buy your home to free you up to buy a home in the new city. I guess it all depends on how much demand there is for your skills, and the structure of your family. If you feel tied to Orlando, and fairly confident in your ability to stay employed there, I would recommend buying again. Just be sure you have the house thoroughly inspected by an independent agent, and consider how much it will cost to rewire if you want security, cable services. So choose the new home carefully. Also, have you ever lived in an apartment or condo? You need to consider the loss of privacy and dealing with a landlord. It is a big decision but you asked great questions. If you are single and don't want to be, I'd recommend moving to a condo with great amenities and chance to meet new people. One more hint, do not be in a hurry to buy. Put your stuff in storage (or sell some) and take your time. Best of luck to you!

If you lose your job and you are renting it's far easier to be thrown out of an apartment then it is your own home.

If you lose your job and you own your home you have time and options available to save your home.

Equity is always better than wasting your hard earned cash and giving it away on a rental

There are several factors to think about. First why did you sell your home? Did you make a profit from it You are still working so age is not a factor. True the interest rates are low, the price of homes are down, I don't see them going much lower. Consider what you have in savings and any credit card debts or others you are carrying, and how long you can get by on that if you should lose your job. Renting dose not create equity..

What happens if you burst into spontaneous combustion?

You are worrying too much, don't overthink it,just don't stretch it, buy a bit conservatively so you have a buffer / safety zone just in case, so you don't have to worry about things.

Buy smart, or rent, it is that simple.
