Generally, services such as Zillow rely on the county courthouse real estate records database being updated. And it generally takes time.

Also, these services don't monitor every court house every day for real estate updates. They typically check in once a month or once every 6 weeks - some probably once a quarter. So, depending on when the database was last updated and how soon therafter Zillow checks the database, that will determine when the information on your home will be updated.

When we sold in the Bay area in early 2008, the Zillow update occurred about three months after date of closing. Zillow is dependent on the county database being updated, and with the current $$$ impact on CA government entities, they may have slowed down their data base entry.
