Are you buying a home from a standard seller, bank, county tax sale, or are you talking about the taxes when buying a business?

You can let the Title Company handle that as well. When a Title Search is done, all liens and taxes are pulled up. Just make sure that it is in the contract that the seller has to pay all liens and back taxes. Have a great day.

You can access county tax bills on the web. tax bills and money due the county is ublic records. Find the tax asessor website for the county the property is located in and search by property address if you can. If search does not work you will need to call the county.
