most buyers don't "hire" real estate agents in terms of paying them money. A realtor represents the buyer, and the seller of the property is, at least in Florida, the one who pays the real estate commission. A buyer actually doesn't save a dime on the price of the house by doing the searches themselves. Shopping online at mls sites is a good way to get a birds eye view of the market, but you can walk into almost any real estate office looking for a home, and the realtor services are provided at no charge. I have put many miles on my car, and if my client decides not to buy, I am the one that absorbs the cost. So, my advice is, if you are shopping for real estate, find a realtor that you like, trust, and who gives you good information, and answers your questions--don't try to navigate the process alone! Why would you?

I Hate it when people do things like this - that post Promotes a negative image for realtors - make it sound like we are used car salesmen that the consumer needs protection from them
Professional realtors take our code of ethics seriously and would never promote anything so misleading....most sites you can search for free - and most sites tie into thier local MLS - thanks to IDX.

Yanni might I suggest that before you post any additional messages that you read the Terms of Service for Zillow as well as the Good Neighbor Policy.

In short, if you want to place an ad, buy one.
