Again, I have ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/First-time-buyer-but-this-just-doesnt-sound-right/33208/
Hi, Steve! Again, I have to say I feel bad for people who have had bad experiences with real estate agents. Corona Nick says you'll be "stuck" with an agent if you sign a contract. Not true. Each contract gives buyers AND agents a way out of the contract if anyone is unhappy. The contract means you are hiring that agent to work on your behalf. It sounds like one agent has already bitten the dust in your transaction. They may have deserved it, I don't know. What I do know is that NOBODY wants to work their butt off with the possiblity they may not get paid. I do great work for my clients as evidenced by my testimonials. I pose this question to Corona Nick, if you went in to your job and your boss said to you, "OK, here's your job and there are several other people doing this work as well. But, only one of you is going to get paid for the work you're doing. Sorry!", how hard would you work? Those who don't value the knowledge and expertise of a professional negotiator, especially those of us who work EXCLUSIVELY in the buyer's best interests are not people I would ever let in my car. I know that I know what I'm doing and what I have to offer is of value to me and to my clients.
Wed, 11 Jun 2008 01:42:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/First-time-buyer-but-this-just-doesnt-sound-right/33208/ 2008-06-11T01:42:00Z Steve, 150K is way too much ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/First-time-buyer-but-this-just-doesnt-sound-right/33208/
Steve, 150K is way too much for a 3bed, 2 bath house in Barstow..... I would start at 100K... or maybe 110K.... ask your buyer agent.... what they think.... and dont sign anything with a buyer's agent, its not necessary.... you will be stuck with that agent even if you want to move on to another...
Tue, 27 May 2008 20:06:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/First-time-buyer-but-this-just-doesnt-sound-right/33208/ 2008-05-27T20:06:00Z First of all i didnt ask ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/First-time-buyer-but-this-just-doesnt-sound-right/33208/
First of all i didnt ask any of you to criticise where im purchasing my home. In my defence i work at Fort Irwin 30 mins away from my potential home. Riverside is a awfull drive to fort irwin.

I have contacted a local agent to serve as my buyer agent. It seems that the other agent i was working with in a little butt hurt but.... oh well. I need someone who can put the screws to the seller and squeez the right price out of the seller. Not someone who is starting at 175k to start my offer. The agent i have now say i should start at 150k, makes alot of sence to me and he told me it will most likly counter to 160 and i will take it. Im going to do my research on the heart program. I hear it can save me from having a to put my saving up for the house...

Steve
Sun, 25 May 2008 00:36:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/First-time-buyer-but-this-just-doesnt-sound-right/33208/ 2008-05-25T00:36:00Z
