Since may 29th, we have had several showing and two offers. ONe offer was ok, but we passed (probably a mistake), the 2nd was terrible. We extended our contract till the end of the month, but if nothing happends, we are taking it off the market till spring. Just don't think we will get many showings , if any after this month. The downside of waiting till spring, is our house, like most will be worth less, then now. I am more concerned about getting this job, having to move, but not having sold our house. My wife says she stay behind for awhile, but that still means two monthy housing/rental payments, and I don't want to leave her behind for any length of time. Haven't had any showings in almost two weeks and with the economic meltdown and bailout bs, any potential buyers probably just got scared off. what a lousy situation to be in...for anyone.
Thu, 09 Oct 2008 00:45:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/6-weeks-and-only-one-showing/38142/ 2008-10-09T00:45:00Z It is now October and I for ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/6-weeks-and-only-one-showing/38142/
It is now October and I for one would like to know how you are making out. As we all know the market will now slow done alot due to the economic turmoil, the presidential election and the fact that the winter months are always slow.

If you have expired and your job offer has not panned out, perhaps you should wait for the spring market to relist. By the way, that means January or February in some markets. Preparation in January will yield results in April! Remember to take care of your landscaping (curb appeal), decluttering and staging of the home, consistent marketing in all mediums, and price well not high. The next few months should be interesting as the housing market stabilizes.

Good Luck to you.

Wed, 08 Oct 2008 21:24:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/6-weeks-and-only-one-showing/38142/ 2008-10-08T21:24:00Z I agree that lowering the ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/6-weeks-and-only-one-showing/38142/
I agree that lowering the price might help you get more showing and maybe some offers.
