Sure! If they see some funny in the appraisal, or if the appraiser noted something negative in the report, they can ask for the inspection.

If they do, most of the time things get resolved by fixing whatever it is that they want fixing. They will not take your word for it. It has to be backed up by an inspector document.

Not normal but definitely within their right to ask for it. There may be something in the appraisal or contract that made them want to see the inspection report.

I have not found consistency to this yet, and even if it isn't in the initial requirements, when an underwriter wants it, they will get it, or there is no approval. Doesn't really seem fair, but they are the ones who have the ball in their court.
