I didn't know you could advertise on Facebook.
Wed, 10 Dec 2008 22:00:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/ 2008-12-10T22:00:00Z Also it's simply the power ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/
Also it's simply the power of the mob. People who don't even remotely know me join my company group page simply because they see other people doing it. That's powerful because once you're friends you can see all their personal info. Another example...a friend has a friend who had a picture of a horse as her profile picture. I clicked on her and checked out her profile. After a little more digging I found out she was looking for a place and I knew of one out her way that my friend had just listed that allowed horses. When I called her she was amazed that I was actually reaching out to her with a listing that was exactly what she was looking for. I took her to see the property the next day and she ended up not buying it but a very similar one right down the street. The point is, you can search by interests and hobbies and all that and people let there guards down when you have things in common. If you are sending a message to someone in a group about your favorite tv show and he happens to check out your page and see you sell houses and he's looking to sell he's likely to give you a chance because you've become someone he actually knows and not a sleazy salesman. He has things in common with you- friends, interests, etc- so he feels like he can trust you. Its just such a simple cheap way to market yourself and promote your love for what you do.
Tue, 09 Dec 2008 03:30:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/ 2008-12-09T03:30:00Z Chutta, For a small ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/
Chutta,

For a small fee you can display your ad on the side of facebook. You can create a landing page for your business along with tailoring your profile to promote yourself. You can start groups where buyers and sellers can ask questions, upload blogs, articles, video, and other helpful information, and most importantly so many people are using it. You can reach out to past clients informally and get introduced to your friends friends without forcing your business cards or other marketing down their throat. What ends up happening for me is people I knew from elementary school through college and from trips, or anything else, find me on here because they see my ad. They're thrilled to see i'm doing well and ohh wouldn't you know it they have a cousin who just got married and is looking to buy a place. She introduces you through facebook to her cousin, the cousin checks out your page and sees your legit, and from there you have yourself a client. This is just one example, but the point is when it comes to bank for your buck facebook is king- for the next 10 seconds till the next internet thing comes along at least
Tue, 09 Dec 2008 03:25:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/ 2008-12-09T03:25:00Z thanks Drew. http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/
thanks Drew.
Tue, 09 Dec 2008 00:49:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/ 2008-12-09T00:49:00Z Chutta-Here are a few blog ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/
Chutta-

Here are a few blog posts you might find interesting:

Geek Estate Blog

FoREM
Mon, 08 Dec 2008 21:52:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/ 2008-12-08T21:52:00Z Scott,Can you elaborate how ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Trading-Website-Links-and-Networking/40595/
Scott,

Can you elaborate how you use facebook to expand your website presence?
