Zillow Advice: Zestimates - How do I dispute a zestimate? What criteria is used for updates? My zestimate went down $20,000! http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/How-do-I-dispute-a-zestimate-What-criteria-is-used-for-updates-My-zestimate-went-down-20-000/444063/ Zillow Advice | Zillow Real Estate I've got the same issue and ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/How-do-I-dispute-a-zestimate-What-criteria-is-used-for-updates-My-zestimate-went-down-20-000/444063/ I've got the same issue and I'm not seeing any answers from Zillow so far. Go read this article? That's not much of an answer. My house is way undervalued compared to all my neighbors; a house right next to mine that's 500 sq ft smaller than mine is valued at $3k higher, and I'm trying to refinance! My realtor comps show $23k more in value than the Zestimate, going by recent housing sales in my neighborhood. Zillow offers information on my house for all to see; therefore Zillow needs a little more transparency for homeowners to find out why they're knocking their housing values below the neighborhood averages. You answer the same thing for every question about zestimates.

All the zestimates in my neighborhood have risen/lowered in proportion since FOREVER. I want an actual answer on WHY my house suddenly was lowered by $20,000. Since in the past, my neighbor's house picture had MY house number on it I am not trusting what is published in zillow. I've changed the number/house picture twice only to have it 'change' back to the wrong house.

It is patently unfair to change a zestimate for one house based on 'secret' algorithms leaving the owner with no recourse. Tell me how the zestimate was reached and maybe I'll understand.

Wetdawgs, are you a zillow employee?
