If you charged it on a credit card that would have been only your debt. If it was paid on time to the installer, it would be known as a mechanics lien on the home. Now this is the tricky part .... that lien would have to be recorded to show up in a title search. It would have been up to you to inform the title company of the lien and inform the company holding the lien to record it prior to closing on the sale, in order to have the lender pay for it.<br/>Since that did not happen it is your debt. If you do not pay, it will be a detriment to your credit.
