Zillow Advice: Home Improvement - Home Improvement | Painting : Bold & Fun Children's Rooms http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Home-Improvement-Painting-Bold-Fun-Children%27s-Rooms/474138/ Zillow Advice | Zillow Real Estate Yeah it's an old post but ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Home-Improvement-Painting-Bold-Fun-Children%27s-Rooms/474138/ Yeah it's an old post but a relevant one. <br/><br/>In picking up a 'garanimal' toy and considering the fact, I&nbsp;went straight to the paint dept. and picked up 1 qt. of each garanimal color in gloss paint.<br/><br/>I have used these colors throughout my&nbsp;young clients room.<br/><br/>Two (5 drawer chests) were the first to receive the colors, each drawer was painted a different color, base left as is.<br/><br/>Some used pcs. were also painted and worked into the project.<br/><br/>Some scrap&nbsp;shelving was&nbsp;screwed together in odd shapes&nbsp;to make some shelf / wall treatments and painted the same glossy bright colors.<br/>The toys look great on them as well.<br/><br/>A stop by the sewing / craft dept, gave me a huge choice of materials in which to make a window treatment to go along with the colors and theme.<br/>Way more choices than the childrens curtain area...and they're not that hard to make.<br/><br/>If you need some wall art, think about just basic shapes like squares, circles, triangles and paint them bright colors and maybe apply a series of<br/>Cap. letters on them...maybe the babies name.<br/><br/>I have found that they are quite a few moms and dads out there that want to get away from the basic pink and blue , and the answer just maybe in one of your childs toys.<br/>-Joseph- Fri, 30 Aug 2013 12:00:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Home-Improvement-Painting-Bold-Fun-Children%27s-Rooms/474138/ 2013-08-30T12:00:00Z
