Zillow Advice: Buying Process - Bank of America Short Sale Question http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Bank-of-America-Short-Sale-Question/500412/ Zillow Advice | Zillow Real Estate When you have a pre-approved ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Bank-of-America-Short-Sale-Question/500412/ When you have a pre-approved Short Sale with BOA you should have a negotiator contact number. Fallow up with a negotiator to make sure they have all updated documents form you and your client. On pre-approved files you should have a answer within 30 days, after a written approval they will give you prox. 45 days to close. Typically buyer lander wont start the loan process until they have written approval from you. So even if you have a answer from BOA within 30 days you looking to close within next 45 days after you have a approval, unless your buyer is a cash buyer. BOA uses a equator to communicate with you on file, check your Equator to see if you have any msg. there and I would fallow up every week, and then sent a e-mail to the buyers agent to informed them about the file. It is important to keep in touch with the other party, even if you have no answer but they know that you working on file and fallowing up, it makes everyone more come and the buyer will wait. We got the offer in Feb and closed the end of May. That was actually the shortest Bank of America short sale I've done to date. Even with the 30 day requirement, they typically find additional paperwork or changes to the paperwork that begin the clock all over again. The fastest turn arounds on short sales I have seen are when there was an offer and buyer that got frustrated and bailed out after months of waiting for answers and then I came in with a new buyer. Even those took 60 days to close. Hold on and be ready for a rough ride. Good luck.

tim Fri, 05 Jul 2013 14:15:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Bank-of-America-Short-Sale-Question/500412/ 2013-07-05T14:15:00Z A short sale can take from ... http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Bank-of-America-Short-Sale-Question/500412/ A short sale can take from a couple of months to a year or more. There is no norm for a short sale.
