You may have a small upfront retainer fee for your agent to oversee, protect and negotiate on your behalf however that retainer fee is usually refunded/rebate back to you at closing. The listing agent linked to the property works on behalf and protects THE SELLER so I would recommend that you hire your own BUYERS agent to protect you.
