Were there material defects found in the property that the buyer would not have been reasonably aware of at the time the offer was written? <br/><br/>If so, then yes... the buyer would have recourse. In this case, the contract would be cancellable.<br/><br/>Note that this answer is based on my knowledge of contract law as it applies to Indiana.
