My daughter attended Jouett for 6th grade and had a wonderful experience. The school is in an excellent location surrounded by woods and fields. The school bus system was top-notch. The curriculum was excellent; she was able to take a compacted math class that was covered 6-8th grade math in one year putting her far ahead of her peers at other schools. The school has a wonderful diverse group of children from many university and local families. I was always so impressed with the involvement of the parents in the school and the PTO. The school is safe and I never once heard about any problems with fights or bullying. The principal seemed to know all the kids by name. The only complaint I have is that the school closed for too many snow days.

'This school is wonderful. The diverse student population is such a great thing. My children transferred from antoher disctric and have thrived in albemarle county public schools ever since. The level of parental involvement is unlike any school i've ever seen and the pto is very much into welcoming new families into the school disctrct. The music art and sports programs at jouett are awesome expecially music. My children have never wanted to be in chorus or anything to that nature and the program they have going on has just made my kids wanna learn more about the fine arts. Teachers are awesome and the administration staff is too. This school to say the least is top notch!
