As a mother to a kindergartener in the full-time bilingual (Spanish/English) program I have been thrilled with the teachers and environment at Alvarado. My highly gifted has thrived there. The principal is fabulous and interested in each child and the office staff are motivated and compassionate. My son is in Mary Seibert's class and I have to say she is one of the best teachers I have ever encountered always cheerful and yet great with setting limits and boundaries. I would almost say this school has worked a miracle with my child who was struggling elsewhere because of his special needs. At Alvarado he has been accepted embraced for who he is. The bilingual and gifted programs at the school are outstanding and compliment each other quite well. Hurrah for Alvarado!
