This is not a school that parents willfully send their kids to learn. Vision Quest Middle school is basically made up students that have run afoul of the law or have been expelled from other middle schools for serious in school violations or for serious situations that require a student to be removed from the general public school population. As noted above it has a very small number of students that changes quite regularly. The purpose of this school is to give young students the chance to turn their lives around. Many students who are required to attend this school are truly able to later return after a semester to a normal school situation and become fine students. Unfortunately there are those who are unable to turn that corner and end up returning to a general education only to be expelled once again. Sadly many of these kids are victims of the social/cultural situations in which they are brought up. Sadly manly of these kids at a very young age are kids who just don't care.
