I have had nothing but excellent experiences with this school. The staff are so helpful and I consider myself and my family lucky that the children get to go to such a beautiful school. I am proud to say that my child goes to Forest City Elementary and we are looking forward to another great year. Amanda Young-Martin

The principal Mr. Haynie is very involved as are the entire staff and teachers. I've been very impressed with the school's operations and expectations. Both of my school age children had wonderful teachers last year Mrs. Fragoza (2nd gr) and Mrs. Powell (Kg). A terrific school.

Recently moved to the area and I was happy with the range of activities available as well as the quality of the educational programming. I believe my son will do well at this school. I was surprissed by the math scores in 3rd grade but the other scores all showed much higher than the state average.

My children were students for several years and at first I was happy with the school. This school cares for scores not children

The administration is not very supportive to the staff. The ED teacher is exceptional. We have been fortunate to have had two terrific women make a difference in our childs life. The last years co-teacher still sends letters and cards to my child as well as remembers important events. She has always gone above and cares for the kids as if they are her own. We miss her terribly and I think that it will effect my child not to have her there. This year has been slower response but a lot less hassle from the front office staff. Glad to see that the office staff has new happier faces. It would be nice to see the new principle instead of him always being in the office.

Both of my children have attended this school for all of their Elementary years. This school has a well educated and dedicated teaching staff from K-5. Their music program is top notch. Parent involement is very encouraged by Forest City. Your child will recieve the best building blocks possible from the public school system for their future education at Forest City.

First Impression is that of efficiency. Teachers seem to be closely monitored for such and our child loves her school. Too strict for our liking in the area of parental oversight. Appointments have to be made 24 hours ahead of time before a parent can even observe their child's class and operation. Food for anxiety when first releasing one's young baby to a new system for seven hours.

Forest city elementary is an excellent school. The academic program and the quality of teachers is fantastic. The kids also receive PE twice a week as well as music art and computer lab once a week. There could be much more parent involvement however the parents that do participate do an incredible job and work hard to make up for it. The guidance counselor is not the most helpful and doesn't seem to really look out for the children's best interest. The pre-k disablities program is fantastic. The teacher and the therapists go well beyond what is expected. The guidance department however could do a much better job of making the parents feel like part of the team and getting them involved. Overall forest city is a fantastic school and I am please at how well my children are doing.

This school is great. I recently transfered my child from a private school to this one. And there is a world of diffrence in her. She now looks forward to going to school and doing homework. Her teacher(s) are great the respond to my letters within 24 hrs and my e-mails within two hours. I want my child to have the best education available to her and if I could start the whole process over this would be my first choice no questions asked.

It's a gamble whether or not you get a good teacher the front office staff is very rude and if you have any questions about your child's education you run the risk of making yourself 'known'.

Everything about this school is exceptional. The teachers are dedicated and care for our children as if they were their own and parental involvement is outstanding.
