Community ratings & reviews

Amherst Middle School can be described as unique. Teachers not only invest their time and energy into the students' education but they also care about individual lives. Students often return to visit once they have moved to the high school and remark how much they miss their middle school teachers. The environment is positive and students know how much they are valued.

Amherst Middle School needs to hire some better teachers who dont give so few graded assignments. Because when you do that and you score bad on it its hard to bring up. We have a few teachers who do this. Ive had a call home from a teacher who said I was completley ignoring her and talking in class when im not. I give it a three because there are alot of good teachers here and a few that could use inprovement. It's sanitary and clean here and we (sometimes) learn a good deal from the (good) teachers.
