I have 2 kids that go here and they love their teachers Mrs. Lopez teaches 2nd grade and she is wonderful! Apple Valley needs to give them more funds they cant even afford to take the kinders on little field trips so sad! Also Behind the school is terrible drug infested neighborhood and the kids and their parents make the school an awful experience for the other kids. It's awful even trying to go to an assembly so many ghetto parents. GOOD TEACHERS in a Ghetto neighborhood. I'm moving my kids out of this school for that reason.

3 kids transferred here from Texas from brand new school in a good neighborhood. I was worried about enrolling them at Yucca Loma. Am impressed with the technology and special programs and projects offered after school and in summer school. My kids are excited to go to school.

I don't even want to give them a star....My son was threatend verbally abused and picked on quite often. The principle is a not involved with the students. He takes pictures with the students on his rediculously flash yellow car. I pulled my kids out of that school because I felt they werent safe. Do Not send your kids here.

I am the parent of two exceptionally bright students who attend Yucca Loma. I couldn't be more pleased with this school. My boys were hand picked by their teachers and have done a great job going above and beyond filling their mind with the full capacity of knowledge they could possibly get. There are wonderful before school and after school programs for the students and great intersession programs for the kids with lots of exciting themes. My kids are very happy at school and excel academically every year. I love all of the staff and would encourage parents to visit and consider this the school for their elementary students. Mrs Lopez Mrs Moessner Mrs Judy Mr Vick Mr Rodriguez Mrs 'D' all the best! Thank you for making my children's experience at school the best ever!

This school is terrible. This school has not proven to provide a safe environment for at least one child your child could be the next to slip through the cracks.

My son was in Mr. Spencer's third grade class last year. Mr. Spencer has a way of reaching even the most unreachable child. My son soared with Mr. Spencer. Mr. Swick Mr. Vick and the entire staff are wonderful. They encourage the kids and are friendly with the parents. The Booster Club could use more parent helpers though. The same members did every activity that came up. Not many new faces......Get involved! Help them!

Both my children have attended Yucca Loma. I was extremely happy with all but one of the teachers. My son went there from 2nd to 5th grade and all his teachers were really wonderful. My daughter started on Kindergarten and is now going into 4th grade. She has had really great teachers also - except for one. I am very pleased with the school overall. My son was in band meteorology and geology. They offer several other after school clubs including newspaper rocket and gardening. They also have a baseball team and encourage parent involvement. They have movie nights as well. I am extremely pleased with the school and staff. It has been a great experience for both of the kids.

I have 2 children that are currently attending Yucca Loma. The children were transferred from a nearly brand new school in a upper middle class neighborhood so enrolling them in Yucca Loma was a bit unsettling. In didn't take long for me to see why this school has been around for over 50 years. The principal and all the school staff is fantastic. The school has better testing more equipment and a better overall feeling than the one they attended before. The PTA could be a lot more productive and I think we need more parent involvement!
