My son is a special needs child and this school is amazing. Before coming to this school he had a very limited speech and was considered non verbal his speech has blossomed. He is still considered non verbal but he can now say 3 and 4 word sentences. He went to 2 other schools and came home with bruises around his elbow like he had been jerked but this school and his teachers I trust and love.

I highly recommend this school. It is the best in the wiregrass. My 3 children attended there for 6 years until we moved to Dothan.I do not recommend any schools in Dothan.AES encourages and welcomes parental involvement. And they also care for children with special needs and do everything they can to encourage and help that child! They have wonderful teachers principals and staff! I give them an A+..

I have had the opportunity to place my 2nd cousin which I am fostering into AES since the beginning of last year and have not regretted it one bit. Coming from a bad experience in her childhood I knew she would be a handful and the faculty has been the best. She is much more behaved than ever and has kept her grades up to close to A B level. I can't thank the teachers enough for all that they have done for her thru the good and the bad. Soon she will be able to go back home and I can credit AES for helping her to maintain a better-decided life.

Our child has attended school since she was 5. Now she's in the 4th grade (a-honor roll). The teachers are wonderful & extremely helpful. They make learning for her a enjoyable experience. We could not ask for a better school teachers principle or staff. She has learned a great deal over the years with the help of everyone. Webb also has a very good academic program. Thanks to all her previous teachers! d hughes

My children attended Ashford Elementary for two years and it was a great experience. The teachers are extremely nice and caring. My children were treated as if they were the teachers own child. The atmosphere at the school was relaxed and the teachers were more than willing to have the parents involved. They took any concerns personally and were more than willing to help in transitions. I have never had anyone be rude to me or my children. I am definately going to miss the closeness that we had with this school and the people in this community.

This was my childs first year in school at all and this school is awesome! She learned so much the school encourages strong academic success in the students and teachers! The parents are always involved and encouraged more and more by the teachers to stay involved with their children and school. The extra curricular are well planned and available. The children and facilities are well taken care of physically mentally and emotionally. This is one big family.
