this is a great school with everything from art to technology classes to creative writing o foreign languages and many more. Teachers and staff are very nice and the student body isn't too bad either.

This school is fair at best. Some teachers are excellent but most are worthless. Very poor communication between school and parents. My son has an IEP and struggles beyond belief. I would not recommend this school.
My son has had a very experience at Inman and just finished 7th grade. He's been involved in a team sport intramurals and Beta Club. He's taken advantage of the nice tutorial sessions that teachers provide before or after school. The 6th and 8th grade team of teachers appear to be the strongest but they made a couple very good teacher highers for the 7th grade team for the 2012-2013 school year that added some talented teachers to the staff. Inman had discipline issues this past year with the increased enrollment but was forthright with the statistics including holding a public forum on the issue made changes (including expelling key troublemakers) and the issues improved in the back half of the year. The upcoming year will allow for full/regular registration & orientation of students which couldn't happen with rezoning process last year and will help that cause too. Overall Inman offers a strong set of teachers good advanced classes a pack of involved parents and lots of strong extra-curricular activities from sports to debate to drama to music. I expect it will be a more settled year for 2013-2014 when all core classes will be inside the building.
Some of the teachers are excellent and some are just worthless. The only real problem there is safety and bullying. There are daily fights that involve the school resource officer blood and violent bullying. The school will act like it isn't happening because they dont want to tarnish its reputation but it is happening all of the time. They need to start suspending students that are involved in these very dangerous fights!
Yes it is true that this year the amount of students that feed into the Inman pool is growing so the 7th grade was moved outside into the trailers but don't let that stop you. My seventh grade buddies say that they like them. I am in the eighth grade and will be graduating this year. I have loved the past three years here but to tell you the truth while the 6th and 8th grade teachers are fantastic a few of the 7th grade teachers are not so great. I still learned a lot but they were still not as good as what I have had in the past. Despite that I love the Inman community. There is little to no bullying and the kids are very kind. I would highly recommend it to any parents looking at sending their children here.
the reviews are very old. does anybody have a recent experience positive or negative they can share? when i visited it seemed over crowded and school has new administration temporary i believe. how is that working out any info on why old admin is gone?
Inman does not meet out discipline fairly. The teachers vary from excellent to unsatisfactory. Some kids who are lucky enough to get the best teachers and avoid unfair treatment will get a good middle school foundation. Most kids will be very happy to leave.
Middle school years is a very difficult time and I have found that the majority of the teachers and staff do not seem to be equipped to handle this age group. There isalso disparity in the handling of infractions (one child gets a slap on the wrist while another gets detention for the same infraction). Also it appears the trend is to try to get rid of the minority students and send to alternative schools at every opportunity.
Love it here.. my child has been exposed to soo much and I have never seen her graes improve as much as they have... I encourage everyone to try to enrol their students at inman.. i eprsonnally reccomend trying to get your child into Ms. Nunninks class... She's strict btu fun and loving.... i LOVE INMAN
My daughter started middle school at Inman and is currently in the 7th grade. This Middle school experience at Inman has been the BEST! The teachers are very dedicated and go over and beyond to push the children in the right direction. I LOVE being an Inman Middle school parent and my rising 6th grader is very excited to be apart of the Inman family.
I have previously submitted but I just can't say enough for this school. It really is a great school and you will find that out by looking at the student's attitudes and their grades. As a student I found that the Inman crowd was some of THE kindest people i had ever met. Having been forcfully relocated to Brunswick this year I can say that Glynn County Schools have a lot of work to do before they can even fathom reaching APS standards.I would give anything to be back in Atlanta at Grady (Which has a wonderfull Communication Magnet program and is where all of my friends are) . My friends would tell you only great things about Inman (and Grady!) if you asked them. The friends I made at Inman I can say proudly and without a doubt in my mind be with me forever. So will my education. D
My daughter is in 7th grade at Inman and we have been very happy with this school. Excellence is expected and they are doing everything they can to give individualized education to every student. I love this school!!!
This school does not have the leadership necessary to guide the attending children in an appropriate manner.
I love Inman middle school it is so fun and I have learned so much and meet so many people from diffrent cultures and my goals are being meet!
Inman has been a absolutely amazing school. It is amazing. Teachers students and community all contribute to make Inman the bestest.
I attend Inman Middle School and I absolutely love it here. I am in the 8th grade. This is my 3rd and last year here at Inman and I certainly will have many memories and miss my school alot but I will fill confident to transition to high school. Inman Middle is a fun learning school with great teaches activities learning/ teaching processes. If you are looking for a school for your child I highly recommend you to let him/ her attend Inman. You may doubt or question me because I am just a child but I guarantee you will not be let down my Inman. We as in the students teachers parents and staff are on big happy family with open arms and care for each other greatly. I love Inman and I will miss it next year )
Inman is a great school. It focuses on how to prepare the children for the future and how to be a better person. With test scores higher than the state average. Inman has a multi racial population. I have three kids two in seventh grade and one in the sixth grade. They love it and it makes me happy knowing they are in a great school that we all agree is wonderful.
Inman's academic programs are absolutely wonderful and challenging. The courses prepare the children to go on to high school and they also prepare them for real life experiences. My children enjoyed being in the music program at Inman because it too was challenging at times. The teachers definitely demand a lot of their students but I do not view that as a negative. Parents are greatly involved at Inman and that helps make it feel like more of a community than a school which was great for us.
I think Inman is a great school. This year the 8th graders got some of the highest scores on the writing tests. The sixth and seventh graders also did very well. The just finished remodleling our school and it is a great learning enviornment.
Inman is not only a good school it is a great school. My son will be attending 6th-8th grade this 2005-2006 school year. I don't live in the district however I refused for my child to attend Kennedy Middle School. When I found out there was a chance for me to enroll him into a school outside of his district I jumped at the chance to enroll him into Inman. Inman was my first and only choice. Please know that I am not only a concerned parent however I was an Inman student myself (1991-1993). I know first hand what Inman has to offer and I want my son to take advantage of all that this school has to give.
