1520 Spruce St Philadelphia, PA 19102
In 1917, renowned architect Frederick Weber designed an elegant residential hotel at 1520 Spruce Street known as the Touraine. Drawing his inspiration from the grand mid-rise buildings of Chicago and New York's Park Avenue, his 13-story design included a dramatic porte cochere entryway. Recently, the grand lobby and expansive hallways of the Touraine underwent a complete renovation to reflect the classic, sophisticated roots of the building combined with a modern sensibility. The stunning renovation maintains the original architectural features of the Touraine, while utilizing environmentally sustainable materials and the craftsmanship of local artisans. Additionally, individual apartments are undergoing similar renovations as they become available.
