Our children have attended both the elementary and preschool classes. We have LOVED Olive Knolls! We have felt welcomed at all events and welcomed on campus at any time. We are both public school educators and we have been extremely impressed with the curriculum. I feel my children are not only learning the basics but they are also receiving enrichment opportunities that are far greater than those offered in our neighborhood school. We also feel that the staff is like a family. I feel my children are safe and truly cared for while at school. Olive Knolls is a blessing!

I am basing this review on our experience with OLCS and our two children who attended preschool through grade 2. This poor school needs a serious leadership change. The adminstration is rude unhelpful and condescending to parents. They immediately establish an adversarial relationship (AFTER you register). Given the high HIGH cost of tuition this was unaccceptable. The teachers seemed demoralized and a little over their heads. The ciriculum was a good one at those grade levels. However we noticed marked favortism to children whose families attended the church. The parental "involvement" was based around a few cliques making us feel (as well as other families) like outsiders. After a few years this was too much. We moved on.

There's a few good teachers but most of the staff are rude and the office never seems to know whats going on. It seemed like my kids were getting office trips for minor things while I witnessed other children doing major things like kicking and slapping other students and they were just given a time out.....not very fair to me.

Had you asked me this 2 years ago I would have rated this school with 4 stars. My child's first two teachers in the "two's" were amazing. Kind Loving helpful and stern when they needed to be. However when my child was placed in a threes class thats when it went downhill. Basically my child was being bullied by the teacher which I had eye witnesses of from other parents and NOTHING was done to correct it. It basically took an arm and a leg to get my child switched to another class. Our new teacher was amazing same as the first two. But then she left the school..then came the problems again. The school gave the open teacher position to a REALLY young girl who mentality of a high school girl. When my child would do MINOR things like not sit down or throw dirt at a fence instead of getting a time out my child would get sent to the directors office and get written up. EVERY time. Ever since raising a stink about the bully teacher he once had he now had a target on his back. After multiple attempts to talk to the director and nothing happening we switched schools. I had had enough. Long story short I will NEVER send any of my other children to this school.

The teachers are rude and there to collect a paycheck. My daughter was there for only 4 months before I switched schools. No one helps you in the office either.

OKCS is family. I have worked here for 13 years now and have had the opportunity to work with a wonderful group of people over the years. More importantly I have been able to be a part of so many wonderful students lives. Whne are students graduate they know they always have a place to come back to and that there is always someone waiting with a smile to welcome them and someone always has them in their prayers.

My Daughter started attending Olive Knolls this year for Kindergarden and it has been such a blessing to see her learning so many new things each day. She not only gets all of things an average school would give her too but the closness with the staff and teachers is a wonderful plus. One major plus for me is the fact that chhildren get to praise God and they get to say the pledge every day as we did back when. On a daily basis God is in all of Children's lives and influences them in many different ways. Her being in OKCS has even stregthed us as a family as well. A weekly verse is learned and recited. This school is in the top with the best. I would highly recommend this school to anyone. We love Olive Knolls and it is a blessing. Thanks The Sides Family
