This school's curriculum is excellent; however the students are not accustomed to such rigorous work. Therefore their behavior inhibits the growth/development of those who want to learn and achieve. The students are very disadvantaged and the teachers try very hard to engage the students; so hard that they spend 99.9% of their time on planning & teaching the students that only 1% of their time is left for themselves & their own children & family.

As a parent of a student at Lombard Middle School I am very dissappointed with the overall quality or lack thereof in the school. The school lacks supplies such as textbooks and other essential materials needed to foster a productive learning environment. Secondly as a parent who actively participates in my son's educational development I have not found most staff supportive or genuinely eager to create or maintain teams between staff and parents. Finally I am not sure if teachers have expressed the level of enthusiasm required to meet the needs of the student population they serve. I hope that one day these issues can be resolved but for today I am inclined as apparently many parents have done already to look for another school that can effectively meet my child's needs.
