I went to this school when I was a child as that I loved it and always wished my kids could go there. When they had a enter-school district transfer I took the op to take my son out of Lenwood school which was a horrible experience my son was getting bullied there all the time and they did nothing about it. Now that he is at Henderson there is no bulling and he has ton's of friends and is above his grade level of learning. Yes there is limited parking but there is ton's of parking down the street I just don't like how fast the parents drive around the school they drive so fast. But the school it's self is awesome for the kids ton's of hands of stuff for the kids.

Great school spirit great teachers safe clean organized close to home. The only problem I have is the parking and leaving the parking lot area takes a long time.

I recently transferred to the area from an excellent school district in Florida and this school is horrible. The prinicple allows these teachers to act any way that they want and she is also rude and unapproachable. It's so sad that this school has adopted such immature drama and promotes it.

I have to agree with the parent ahead of me. The Prinicpal is very rude at this school. I attened this school as well while I was a child. Now my daughter attends the same school. The prinicpal was a 6th grade teacher at this school when I attened there. She was even rude back then. But I have to say that the teachers that the teachers that my daughter has had so far have been outstanding.

I have 3 children attending Henderson. The enviroment is great for learning but the parent involvement is lacking. The school and children need support from all parents. In order for the test scores to go up parents will have to help the children out. Teachers only have the children 6-7 hrs a day the parent/parents or care provider have them for the remainder of the day. We as care providers have to get involved in our childrens learning. The learning does not stop at home!

A few teachers are inadequate to teach. 60%+ [of students] have to attend summer school. Principal is hostile towards us as parents. I wish we knew the poor state of the Barstow School District before we moved here as it continues into the High School with 50% graduation rate. That is my experience and opinion. Home school is a definite option if you live in this area.
